Louie is a young pup who found himself in need of a fresh start – and some serious help for an injured front leg. 

By the time Louie came to Ahwatukee Animal Care Hospital, he had a complete fracture of his radius and ulna that had been healing improperly. His current owner had taken over his care and immediately started searching for ways to get him the treatment he needed, including looking into grants and other financial assistance. 

Unfortunately, the damage to Louie’s leg had progressed to the point that a forelimb amputation was recommended. The good news? His veterinary team expects him to have a great prognosis once he’s received the appropriate treatment. 

After other financing options didn’t work out, the Care Beyond Limits Fund was approved to help cover Louie’s surgery. 

Louie may be losing a leg, but he’s gaining the chance to move forward pain-free with a family committed to giving him the care he needs. Three legs won’t slow this guy down for long!
