Tequila is 8 weeks old, weighs less than 3 pounds and has already managed to keep an entire veterinary team on its toes. 🌪️ 

This tiny pug arrived at Animal Emergency Clinic North East after experiencing repeated seizures. At one point, she was unable to stand or even hold her head up on her own. 

Her team immediately went to work stabilizing her with fluids, medication, warming and around-the-clock monitoring. And little Tequila responded. 

By later that day, she was eating, drinking, walking again and had experienced no additional seizures. Pretty impressive work for someone who weighs roughly the same as a large burrito. 

Tequila still needs answers about what’s causing her seizures, and a veterinary neurologist and advanced diagnostics were recommended as the next step. After her family had already spent thousands on her emergency stabilization and exhausted other financial options, the Care Beyond Limits Fund was approved to help continue her care.
